The driver of the vehicle, 55-year-old Robert Baker, reported to troopers that as he was traveling northbound on the highway, he passed a dark, four-door sedan, with possibly three male occupants. He further roported, according to trooper dispatch, that one of the occupants was holding what appeared to be a handgun out the window and over the roof of the vehicle.
Baker told troopers that he then heard a loud noise that resembled a gunshot as his driver’s side window cracked.
Baker related that he continued to drive, but then glass shards broke and covered the driver’s side interior of the vehicle. Baker reported that he was unharmed.
The investigation by troopers found that there were no bullet holes or ricochet markings on the vehicle.
