Troopers Seek Info in Mat-Su Hit and Run Investigation

image07-01-2015 06.24.08During the early morning hours of Thursday, troopers responded to a reported hit and run in the Mat-Su Valley.

At 4:49 am, troopers went to the area of Shrock Road and Burlwood Avenue after receiving a report of a man down on the ground there.

When they arrived, they identified the victim as 28-year-old Raymond Ahgook of Anaktuvuk Pass. The trooper investigation determined that Ahgook had been hit by a passing vehicle on Shrock Road as he was walking along the side of the road. As a result of the incident, Ahgook suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for treatment.
