Alaska State Troopers along with the Craig Police Department following a recent tip arrested two individuals, one who had been hiding out from law enforcement since May 1st.
Craig police received a report on the whereabouts of 24-year-old Jeremy Ellis and his girlfriend Nicki Casey.
A warrant was issued for Ellis’s arrest after failing to appear in Ketchikan court on charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, Theft in the Second Degree and two counts of Misconduct Involving a Weapon in the Third Degree.
The missed court appearance was in connection with a March drug bust where Ketchikan police executed a search warrant on Ellis at his residence and seized $3,500 in cash, 34 grams of heroin, paraphernalia and two stolen handguns.
Ellis’s girlfriend, Nicki Casey, also of Ketchikan, was also being sought by Ketchikan police after failing to appear for her court appearance on May 3rd. She was due in court on drug and felon in possession of a firearm charges.
Both were arrested without incident at a residence in Craig on Monday after a tip led them to the duo’s whereabouts.
