After searching for 23-year-old Brandon Timpke since late November, the wanted man was apprehended on Thursday after troopers received tips as to the man's whereabouts in Kodiak.
Timpke had been wanted on an active $500,000 warrant for Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance as well as weapons and other charges. Troopers acted on a tip that was called in to the Kodiak Crimestoppers Hotline.
After applying for and receiving a search warrant for the residence the tipster reported Timpke to be hiding out at, troopers went to the trailer. During their search Timpke was found in the trailer, he resisted officers as he was being arrested but was ultimately taken into custody and transported to the Kodiak Jail. His bail was set at $500,000 for the warrant and $500 for resisting arrest.
Timpke had originally arrested on November 14th on charges of Failure to Appear on charges of Driving with a Revoked License and Violating Bail Conditions as well as Providing False Information. He bailed out on those charges. It wasn’t until the next day that Timpke was charged with five weapons and drug related felonies as the investigation into his case continued.
Another person connected to Timpke’s arrest was taken into custody on Monday after she turned herself in to Kodiak Police. 18-year-old Erin Phillips was wanted on three warrants, one of which was for Hindering Prosecution, which is a class B felony. That warrant was issued after Phillips hindered the apprehension of Timpke on December 5th. The other two warrants were issued for Failure to Appear on Minor Consuming charges. Phillip’s bail was set at $5,000 cash and a Court Approved Third Party Custodian and $500 on the Failure to Appear warrants.
