Anchorage Woman Arrested on Several Active Warrants in Wasilla Call, Stolen Handgun Found at Scene

trooperarrestWasilla-based Alaska State Troopers arrested an Anchorage woman on various warrants and a stolen handgun early Thursday morning after responding to a disturbance call, the trooper dispatch revealed today.

Troopers responded to an apartment complex on Tweed Court at 4:32 am on Thursday morning after receiving a disturbance report and contacted 44-year-old Anchorage resident, Armthea Johnson. The trooper investigation at the scene would find that Johnson had three outstanding warrants for her arrest for Assault III, DV Assault, and Theft IV.

During the investigation, officers would discover a 9mm handgun in the residence that had been reported stolen out of Anchorage.

As a result of the investigation at the scene, Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to Palmer, where she was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
