Alaska State troopers took a Big Lake man into custody on Monday evening following a stabbing incident in that community, it was reported by AST on Tuesday.
Troopers responded to the Goldstreak Drive area in Big Lake after receiving a report of a serious stabbing at that location. When they arrived, they were confronted by 42-year-old Archie MacNeven “who brandished a knife and pointed it at the troopers,” according to the report.
As a result, troopers deployed a Taser and immediately took MacNeven into custody.
The investigation at the scene found that MacNeven had stabbed his victim, a family member, multiple times, causing serious injuries. The victim was transported to the Mat-Su Regional Hospital. The victim is expected to survive their injuries.[xyz-ihs snippet=”Adsense-responsive”]MacNeven was charged with Assault I and II and Assault III on a Peace Officer.
He was transported to Palmer where he was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility and held without bail.
