The ground search for a missing Kwethluk man who was last seen on Friday is continuing in that southwest community.
Alaska State Troopers received a report on Friday reporting that 67-year-old Andrew Andrew had gone missing and hadn’t been seen since 1:30 am that morning. It was also reported that Andrew suffered from cognitive disabilities associated with old age.
Although Andrew is known to travel around the village on foot, the long span of time since he was last seen has the community concerned. A ground search has been undertaken in an effort to locate Andrew.
Andrew was last seen wearing a red and black down jacket and gray pants.
Troopers are asking that anyone who has any information that can lead them to Andrew’s whereabouts to please contact them at 907-543-2294.
The community of Kwethluk is situated at the confluence of the Kwethluk and Kuskokwim Rivers in the Bethel Census area.
