ANCHORAGE-Yesterday, an arrest was made in the investigation of the two bomb threats carried out last month at the Alaska Department of Corrections Adult Probation Office on A Street. Arrested was Bryant Brown, age 44.

According to a release by the Anchorage police department, the bomb threats were called in first on November 22nd at 3:05 pm, then on November 23rd at 3:39 pm. At both times, the building was evacuated and searches for explosive devices was carried out. In both cases nothing was found.

In an investigation with the Alaska State Troopers, the Anchorage Police Department Robbery/Assault detectives traced the threat calls back to Brown.

The investigation showed that on November 22nd, Brown, who was on probation for drug charges, and also had a history of neglecting his required visits his probation officer, was called in for a surprise urine analysis testing for compliance. But, the test was called off because of the bomb threat that had been called in.

On the following day, when Brown was called in again to complete his UA, a similar bomb threat was called in to the office. Once again, the building was evacuated and his drug test was postponed.

He is due in court for his arraignment sometime after 1:30 pm this afternoon. He was jailed on warrant for two counts of Terroristic Threatening in the Second Degree with a bail of $10,000 cash.
