A Sterling woman was arrested on firearms charges and other offenses following a call to troopers reporting a disturbance at a residence in that community late Monday night, the trooper dispatch reveals.
At 11:04 pm, troopers responded to a Sterling residence in response to a report of a disturbance involving a firearm on Monday night and contacted 46-year-old Michelle Waldrip, who was immediately restrained.
Troopers would find that Waldrip had assaulted a family member and destroyed items in the house. In addition, it was reported that Waldrip had discharged a large caliber firearm inside the residence, with the weapon aimed in close proximity to a family member.
Waldrip was arrested amd transported to Kenai and remanded to the Wildwood Pretrial Facility on charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons II, Assault IV Domestic Violence, and Criminal Mischief V Domestic Violence.
There was no bail set.
