Alaska State Troopers are continuing into a burglary and car theft after they located a vehicle in Nikiski that appeared to have been stolen.
Soldotna-based state troopers contacted the registered owner of the vehicle who reported that the vehicle should have been parked in his garage in Anchor Point.
Troopers responded to the owners’s Anchor Point residence with the owner to find that his vehicle was in fact missing and the garage had been forcibly entered.
An evaluation at the scene by the owner would find that approximately $2,000 worth of tools had also been stolen from the garage. Two brand new generators were on the list of items stolen
The man’s vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner. Troopers are continuing to look for persons of interest in the case.
